Royal Dux Female Bust | $1,200.00 USD
Royal Dux bust of a young woman, modelled by Alois Hampel circa 1900 - 1910. The quality of the modelling is exceptional, detailing a very pretty face with a delicate complexion. Standing 29 cm in height , she has Hampel incised on the back, the underside of the base having the early pink triangle mark, and model number 446. Overall, she is in excellent condition, the only flaws are a few tiny flea bites on the edge of her shoulder frills, which are to be expected due to their delicateness and age. She was manufactured during the golden age of the Royal Dux Porcelain factory, with it's master modeller Alois Hampel producing innovating designs in the Art Nouveau and Vienna Secessionist styles. At the 1904 World Exhibition in St. Louis the factory was awarded the Grand Prix prize, and in 1906 they were awarded the Gold medal prize in the exhibition at Liberec, and a Silver medal prize at the Milan exhibition.
